Meet The Founder
Rooted in What Came Before
Sanu is the founder and voice behind Sanuday — Born in Nepal, raised in Toronto, Canada, and now a U.S.-based storyteller residing in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a creative and wellness-minded entrepreneur shaped by movement, culture, and the search for a more rooted way of living.
Born in Asia and relocating to North America, Sanu has always carried the contrast between traditional ways of care and the pace of modern Western life. Her earliest memories are connected to land, food, family, herbs, spices, community, and the everyday wisdom passed down through mothers, grandmothers, farmers, and caretakers.
After moving from Nepal to Canada at seven, and later from Canada to the United States at twenty, Sanu began to see how easily modern life can pull people away from the practices that once kept them grounded — eating with intention, moving naturally, gathering often, using what the earth provides, resting with rhythm, and caring for the body before it breaks down.
Sanuday was born from that return.
It is Sanu’s way of reconnecting with her own heritage while creating a world for others — especially founders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and high-performing professionals — who want to live, work, build, and lead with more rhythm, beauty, wellness, and intention.
Rooted in Nepali heritage, Ayurvedic wisdom, storytelling, and cultural exploration, Sanu brings together the worlds she has lived in: the ancestral and the modern, the personal and the professional, the beautiful and the practical, the inner life and the outer expression.
Through Sanuday, that perspective becomes more than a personal story. It becomes a lens for how people gather, how brands are felt, how spaces create memory, and how modern life can become more connected, sensory, and alive.
MEET PISHOI
Relationships, Service & Growth
Pishoi Ibrahiem
Partnerships & Growth
Pishoi is a longtime Raleigh-area local with Egyptian roots and a professional background shaped by high-performance sales, relationship building, and business growth.
Years spent in fast-paced, results-driven sales environments sharpened his ability to read people, build trust quickly, understand value, work confidently with numbers, and turn opportunity into measurable results. He brings that strategic mindset to Sanuday, pairing naturally with the brand’s creative approach to help ideas become stronger experiences, partnerships, and businesses.
Pishoi also serves his community as a firefighter in Wendell, North Carolina. Working closely with people during some of their most vulnerable moments has given him a unique view into the stress, habits, environments, and lifestyle challenges affecting people every day. He brings that perspective into Sanuday’s retreats, helping shape experiences that address real aspects of wellbeing, connection, rest, and how we live.
His natural ability to connect with people also makes him an important voice in Sanuday’s work with founders and brands. He brings a sales and growth perspective to conversations around brand presence, customer experience, spaces, opportunities, and the bigger picture of how a business wants to grow.
When he’s not fighting fires or working with Sanuday, Pishoi is usually exploring a new corner of North Carolina with his fiancée, Sanu, and their dog, Bear, or traveling somewhere new with Sanu.
